We are looking for an integration engineer to join our delivery team and participate in different interoperability projects within the healthcare sector.

You will have the opportunity to apply standards, techniques, and implementation guides to design the integration of data between public health and healthcare systems.

This is a hands-on position where you will work on multiple simultaneous data interoperability initiatives, with daily interactions with business sponsors, commercial partners, and technical staff.

Responsibilities:

• Application of HL7 (v2.x, v3.x, and FHIR) standards, techniques, and implementation guides to enable data integration in the public health and healthcare sectors.
• Development of specific artifacts for each project to facilitate data integration, including data dictionaries, data traceability matrices, and test messages.
• Validation of messages using automated and manual tools.
• Analysis and documentation of client requirements and business workflow for the implemented integration.
• Testing and validation of implemented interfaces according to client requirements.

Requirements:

• University degree (Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent
• Experience in healthcare interoperability and messaging standards, including, among others, HL7 2.x, HL7 3.x, HL7 FHIR, integration profiles, and technical frameworks of IHE, and X12 HIPAA transactions and code sets.
• Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SOAP, REST…).
• Understanding of SQL and DSL language.
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, etc.).

Desired Requirements:

• Certification in HL7.
• Certification in FHIR.
• Experience in public health/healthcare informatics.
• Experience with standard-based vocabularies and terminologies, including SNOMED-CT and LOINC.
• English spoken/written.
