Join us as our Operational Excellence Manager at Dedalus, one of the World's leading healthcare technology companies, in Bosnia and Herzegovina to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact in providing better care for a healthier planet.

What You'll Achieve

As the DIIT Engineering Operational Excellence Manager, you will be part of our effort to create the next generation of information and workflow solutions for our Diagnostic Imaging portfolio, making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector. This is a hands-on, generalist role for operators who enjoy navigating ambiguity, learning quickly, and working across multiple engineering teams and products to make the engineering organization run better.

You will:

  • Play a central role in ensuring smooth operations across our R&D engineering organization, supporting the Head of DIIT Engineering and the engineering leadership team
  • Leverage operational and project management methodologies to drive financial discipline, vendor governance, and efficiency across engineering
  • Own responsibilities spanning budget tracking, vendor and tool governance, operating cadence, engineering metrics, cross-squad coordination, reporting and data analysis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Support to Head of DIIT Engineering: Support day-to-day operations including request and approval triage, action tracking, and follow-up across the engineering organization.
  • Budgeting & Financial Discipline: Track engineering opex and headcount budgets, coordinate license and tool procurement, support vendor contract management, and partner with Finance on monthly close and forecasting.
  • Vendor, Contractor & Tool Governance: Maintain the inventory of engineering vendors, contractors, and software licenses; manage renewal calendars; coordinate vendor onboarding and offboarding; track utilization and spend.
  • Operating Cadence: Coordinate the engineering operating rhythm — OKR cycles, performance and compensation cycles, all-hands, leadership offsites, squad reviews — and own action item tracking across leadership meetings.
  • Engineering Metrics & Reporting: Support engineering metrics collection and reporting; begin building dashboards on engineering delivery, throughput, and quality in partnership with engineering leadership.
  • Cross-Product & Cross-Squad Coordination: Streamline communication and visibility across our engineering product lines (PACS, DU Viewer, eVNA, PACSonWEB, ORBIS U RIS) and across engineering squads.

Growth Areas (responsibilities to develop into over the first 12–18 months):

  • Talent Operations: Partner with Recruiting on engineering hiring coordination, candidate experience, and the engineering onboarding program.
  • Engineering Metrics Framework Ownership: Own and operate an established engineering performance framework (DORA, DX Core 4, or equivalent), maintaining dashboards across delivery, throughput, quality, and developer experience for the engineering leadership team.
  • Representation: Represent the Head of DIIT Engineering and the engineering organization's interests in internal meetings as required.

We are looking for a person who is open to working in an international team and who has no problem with traveling.
