The Agent Engineering team at Decagon deploys mission-critical AI agents to our customers that impact millions of users and directly drive Decagon's growth. You will build on our industry-leading AI agent platform, collaborate directly with customers and use your own creativity to devise long-term, scalable solutions.

At Decagon, integrations are core to the product. Our AI agents succeed when they embed deeply into customer systems, workflows, and data. As a Software Engineer, Integrations, you will design and build the connections that make this possible.
You will work at the frontier of AI agent building, turning complex customer environments into scalable, productized integrations that strengthen Decagon's platform. Each integration you build compounds value, powering both immediate deployments and future customer launches.
You will collaborate with Agent PMs, Product, and Engineering to ensure our agents not only connect to enterprise systems but also deliver reliable business outcomes. This role combines engineering, systems design, and product thinking. It is a fit for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems while seeing their work have direct impact with enterprise customers.
Build and maintain integrations: Implement new integrations with customer systems and ensure existing ones remain reliable.
Productize repeatable patterns: Turn bespoke customer integrations into reusable, configurable solutions that accelerate future deployments.
Support deployments: Partner with Agent PMs during customer onboarding to scope, configure, and validate integrations
Contribute to roadmap: Surface insights from customer work to inform how Decagon should evolve its integration platform.
Documentation & knowledge sharing: Create clear internal docs and playbooks so future integrations can be delivered faster.
5+ years of experience in integrations, solutions engineering, or backend/API-focused roles (ideally in B2B SaaS).
Strong technical skills with APIs, webhooks, and authentication standards (OAuth, SAML, etc.).
Hands-on experience integrating with platforms like Zendesk, Salesforce, or similar enterprise SaaS.
A track record of building integrations from scratch and making them production-ready.
Comfort balancing customer-specific problem solving with building towards scalable, reusable solutions.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset—able to work closely with PMs, engineers, and customer stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Experience building SDKs, middleware, or reusable integration frameworks.
Familiarity with conversational AI, customer service automation, or agent deployments.
Prior experience in customer-facing technical roles (solutions engineer, implementation engineer, etc.).
