Job Summary:

The evening courier plays a critical role in the safe and timely transportation of laboratory specimens from client facilities to Midtown Lab. This position supports two scheduled runs each evening, covering approximately 40 locations across the tri-state area. The courier ensures that specimens are picked up, handled and delivered in accordance with regulatory standards and internal protocols, enabling efficient lab processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Specimen collection and transport
• This position will learn two nighttime runs
• Ensure specimens are properly packaged, labeled and stored during transport
• Transport all collected specimens to Midtown Lab within designated timeframe to support overnight processing
• Serve as a professional and courteous point of contact for client facilities
• Communicate any delays, issues or special instructions to Outreach Lab Team Leads
• Accurately log pickups
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety protocols for handling biological specimens
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned courier vehicles
• Ensure transport containers and supplies are stocked and functioning properly
• Respond to last-minute pick-up request or route changes
• Troubleshoot minor issues independently and escalate when necessary

Courier Hours Monday-Friday 3pm-10pm with rotating weekends and holidays
