The Enterprise Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day functions and long-term initiatives of the Enterprise Operations team. This role is designed for someone with a deep understanding of internal processes, systems, and cross-functional collaboration—someone who can be relied upon to take ownership of critical tasks and initiatives with minimal oversight.
Responsible for owning and enhancing enterprise systems and processes by maintaining core platforms, leading cross-system functionality, developing reporting strategies, and driving workflow efficiency through testing, configuration, and support. Working closely with the Director of Operations, the Enterprise Operations Lead is trusted to maintain momentum on initiatives and act as a liaison between teams to drive clarity, consistency, and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Review enterprise system feature releases, assist with sandbox testing, and support implementation of new functionality.
- Monitor and support the Enterprise Support Ticketing System.
- Maintain and enhance enterprise platforms (Workday, Salesforce, Workato), including security roles, reporting, and business process configuration.
- Lead the development of integrated workflows that combine data across platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ + Workday + inventory systems).
- Own the reporting strategy for your function—building Power BI dashboards, Salesforce reports, and Workday custom reports to support project health, inventory management, and spend analysis.
- Build and maintain automation tools for key functions: project task imports, time tracking visibility, inventory max/min alerts, substitute part updates, onboarding flows, and more.
- Ensure data accuracy and process consistency across requisition entry, vendor tracking, system integrations, and change management.
- Provide core IS Analyst support: user troubleshooting, basic configuration requests, and documentation, with a focus on identifying scalable improvements.
Enterprise Operations
- Serve as the primary delegate for Director of Operations empowered to act on departmental tasks and cross-functional requests
- Lead operational continuity by stepping in for teammates during planned/unplanned absences across procurement, project financials, inventory, or reporting
- Manage and drive special initiatives related to project optimization, IRM, sales & demand forecasting, process improvement, and business automation
- Take ownership of key projects from ideation to execution—including system integrations, internal tool development, and department-wide training
- Partner with leadership, PMs, finance, and engineering teams to uncover friction points, design solutions, and guide rollout of improvements
- Assist in communicating operational policies, updates, and reporting to cross-functional stakeholders
- Act as a go-to source of operational and systems knowledge across the business; connect dots between systems, people, and departments
- Develop documentation and training materials to support internal adoption of tools and processes, and lead walk-throughs for teams or stakeholders when needed
Qualifications & Attributes
- 2+ years of experience in business operations, enterprise systems, or project coordination.
- Strong technical fluency across enterprise systems: Workday, Salesforce, SharePoint, and Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to own and deliver cross-functional projects from concept to completion.
- Comfortable serving as a liaison between departments, able to distill complex processes into clear guidance.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; able to lead internal training and present to stakeholders.
- High level of initiative, accountability, and systems thinking.
