This role will be spread across two clients in the UK: Co-op (Food/Membership) & Wickes.
Co-op is the UK's fifth largest food retailer, but they are a retailer with a difference. They are owned by members, not shareholders, making them the world's biggest co-operative. Two percent of every pound spent on Co-op branded products goes back into the community and members have the chance to choose which community they want to benefit from this investment. Every year, the Co-op pays out this money to their causes each year, they celebrate a circa £15 million Payout to over 4,500 local causes!
The Co-op is a recognised leader for their community-led projects and co-operating to make a difference is at the centre of what they do. The client is looking for a brilliant collaborator who will be the driving force in landing their initiatives. The role presents a great opportunity to work on a client that not only has a healthy budget but does good in local communities too.
Co-op is operating in a highly competitive market with some real strengths so recognising what these are and finding better and different ways to communicate them will be critical to the role. We are looking for an effective communicator who can work in an effective way with both the client and their agency partners.
Wickes is a household name and a leader in the UK DIY and home improvement market, serving millions of customers from enthusiastic DIYers to professional tradespeople. Their mission is simple: to help people create homes they love. They want to 'unite the doers' and build confidence that people can use their services to feel House Proud. With a strong reputation for quality, value, and innovation, Wickes is at the heart of a sector that's growing and evolving fast.
They are an exciting account to work on, running full funnel activity and are always looking at how they can innovate their media strategy to keep up with the ever-changing media landscape. From inspiring home renovation projects to driving seasonal sales, every campaign you work on will be a new challenge and will grow your skills working across a full range of media channels. This is your chance to combine creativity with data-driven strategy and help Wickes stay ahead in a competitive retail landscape. We are looking for someone who can work well with people across different channel disciplines, able to build strong relationships with the clients, and is enthusiastic and willing to get stuck in.
