  • Prototype, design, implement, test, and maintain software for laboratory and medical research devices
  • Work hands-on with real hardware, supporting device control, debugging, and system integration
  • Collaborate with global R&D, architecture, and standards teams while independently owning deliverables
  • Take ownership of a newly established role in Japan and act as a self-starter, proactively identifying problems and driving solutions while helping to define the role's scope, ways of working, and impact in an environment with limited predefined structure

The essential requirements of the job include :

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and ability to quickly learn new languages, frameworks, and internal platforms as needed
  • Proven critical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to reason through complex technical challenges and propose practical solutions
  • Clear technical communication skills and effective collaboration in distributed teams

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Programming languages and technologies such as Python, C#, C++, Delphi, WPF, or HTML
  • Integration of software with physical hardware, laboratory instruments, or automation systems
  • Working in R&D or integration-focused teams that collaborate closely with central architecture or platform groups
