In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Ability to multi-task and capable of building credibility with customers, key opinion leaders, internal stakeholders.
- Produce and check engineering documentation as required to support requests for quote / customer orders / manufacturing and suppliers including drawings, calculations, data sheets and procedures. Generate and check designs which meet customer specifications and offer safe and reliable/robust design which is easy to manufacture/operate and maintain.
- Introduction of new technologies wherever possible which reduce costs and increase time / resource efficiencies and working towards continuous improvement and VAVE, develop the processes and products across all disciplines so that time and cost can be optimized whilst still ensuring a robust and effective process and products.
- Participate in and take ownership of technical clarification meetings with other groups at Pall as well as customers and suppliers, troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with customers and suppliers on product technical issues, evaluating planning and technical risks, take decisions and ensure countermeasures are in place.
- Perform duties to an agreed program, manage priorities by liaison with team leader and Engineering manager. Communicate engineering project deliverables in terms of risk, cost, time and quality to a broad audience within the company and externally, including senior management, developing mitigation strategies where appropriate to maintain project deliverables. Managing and leading product data to ensure that effective traceability is maintained through the product life cycle.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical or Equivalent) with 7-10 yrs of relevant experience. M.Tech or M.S optional.
- Advanced understanding of mechanical design principles relating to pressure vessels, hydraulic and process systems, skidded systems, manufacturing processes including welding, machining, forming, moulding / casting and sealing mechanisms.
- Advanced knowledge of current industrial guidelines for manufacturing and testing of process equipments/pressure vessels (ASME / ISO etc.). Knowledge of international engineering drawings (BS8888 / ANSI Y14.5 or equivalent global standard)
- Experience of working on PVElite, CAESAR-II/StaadPro for design of vessels, piping and structure.
- Working knowledge of Autocad/3D modelling software for preparation of layout and general arrangement drawings.
- Experience of working with EPCs and detailed specifications.

- Willingness to travel (10-20%)
- Valid passport and driver's license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in design of pressure vessels, skidded systems, piping. Knowledge of filtration and separation systems will be an advantage.
