Resin and Ligand Design is a department that belongs to the Resin and Technology and Filtration R&D. Typical products developed from the department are chromatography resins and other consumables used in BioPharma manufacturing.
We are now looking for a Master level applicant within the field molecular biotechnology. You will, as part of R&D in Solna, contribute to the development of disruptive products which are used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs.
This position is for the further development of anti-Z127 (Zhelper) affinity proteins. As Z127 as a fusion protein has shown itself to dramatically improve the expression and stability of ligands, platforms during selections and screening of new ligands would benefit by having Z127 fused throughout the development process to more accurately reflect final ligand characteristics and context. In addition, an anti-Z127 protein would allow for increased throughput and less downtime during screening and characterization of ligands. Libraries based on previous generations of anti-Z127 are to be selected and screened for increased affinity and alkaline stability. Hits derived will undergo further rational design and more detailed characterization.
This position utilizes techniques within the field of protein engineering and is suited for a student seeking to gain more experience in protein research and development.
Experimental work will include selections by phage display, and protein characterization by SPR, MS, LC, etc..
