Damen Shipyards Group is a shipbuilder like no other. The Sales department is divided into 7 country groups, namely Benelux, North, West & South Europe, East & South East Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.

As a Sales Assistant, you will work closely with colleagues within the Sales Area Asia Pacific. You will work in a role with a strong commercial focus to support the Sales team. You will be closely involved in all aspects of the commercial process of ship sales, from start to finish, including providing daily support to customers from different countries in Asia Pacific.

You will register new sales opportunities, prepare quotes and tenders, and provide support with contractual preparations. Once a contract is signed, you will play an important role together with colleagues from the Sales team in delivering the product to the satisfaction of the customer. This role is suitable for you if you are flexible, can act quickly, and think ahead.

As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • General support of the Sales Managers;
  • Preparing and processing confidential and commercial correspondence and documents in English;
  • Preparing quotes and tenders;
  • Managing (entering data) of the digital sales system;
  • Organizing acquisition trips;
  • Preparing and organizing meetings, business visits, events;
  • Support with contractual preparations.

  • Has completed a study in secretarial or commercial direction (MBO+ or HBO work and thinking level);
  • Has a good command of the Dutch and English languages (both orally and in writing);
  • Has at least 2 years of work experience;
  • Is available full-time or 4 days per week.
