The daily management of our projects is carried out by our teams in Gorinchem and Drachten, while the ships are built in our yards in China and Vietnam.

For strengthening the proposal department, we are looking for a Proposal Engineer.

The role:

As a Proposal Engineer, you will handle requests from the sales department and develop the technical solution. During the tendering process (from initial request to signing the contract), you will support with technical issues and cost estimation. You will work on multiple projects at the same time and have a keen eye for detail, planning, and quality.

Key responsibilities:

• Drafting a general arrangement and technical specification;
• Drafting cost estimates and risk analyses;
• Consulting with various departments and external parties (including the operational department and subcontractors) to arrive at an accurate cost calculation;
• Coordinating with internal disciplines, such as design, engineering, and project management, on the technical feasibility;
• Supporting the sales department through (technical) input during client meetings;
• After signing the contract, transferring to the operational department;
• Contributing to the product development of the Cargo Vessels portfolio;

Skills & Experience:

• A completed technical higher professional education or university degree (e.g., Maritime Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or similar);
• Experience with new ship construction is a plus;
• Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working;
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English;
• Customer-oriented, proactive, and enterprising;
