Your Role

Together with the HR colleagues, you will form a close-knit team where you can operate independently and collaboratively build on the further professionalization of the HR policy. Additionally, at the headquarters of Damen Shipyards in Gorinchem, there is another team of HR colleagues with whom you can collaborate and gain expertise.

The position is for 32-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, execute, and/or coordinate administrative support and HR (part) projects in an effective and efficient manner.
• Monitor the progress and quality of HR processes and procedures and contribute to their improvement.
• Execute and monitor administrative processes for in, through, and outstream and the recruitment of employees.
• Prepare and enter the monthly payroll run.
• First line HR questions and support HR BPs and HR Manager.
• Ensure the correct completion and maintenance of sick leave administration and follow-up of absenteeism procedures.
• Ensure legal compliance in the entire personnel administration, maintain the People Page, HR communication.

Your Profile

Our new HR Generalist meets the following profile:

• Minimum of an HBO education in the field of HRM with a work and thinking level corresponding to HBO.
• Knowledge and experience of Dutch (labor) legislation; preferably experience with AFAS, Workday, and SAP.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist/HR Officer preferably in a technical, international environment.
• You are an honest personality who is both business-oriented and involved and can work well together and prioritize.
• You have good advisory skills and are pragmatically oriented.
• Preferably experience in developing HR processes & systems.
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language.
