Are you analytically inclined and enjoy working with numbers?

As a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing invoices to customers to support the project team. You will do this using data collected by others and your own observations on site, which provide a commercially responsible result in terms of description and price.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing quotes, budgets, and contracts to determine scope, overtime, and deviations;
• Preparing and substantiating (final) invoices and overtime quotes based on cost, hours, and work data;
• In the description, clearly indicate the work performed in conjunction with the calculated price according to established guidelines and methods;
• Signaling and coordinating financial risks with the Project Manager before the start of the project;
• Collecting, checking, and evaluating missing or additional work and repair data;
• Processing financial and project data in the ERP system;
• Checking final invoices before discussing them with the customer.

Skills and experience:

• Higher education in Naval Architecture/MAROF, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field;
• Knowledge of materials and tools;
• Oral and written (pré) knowledge of the English language;
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (IFS is a pré);
• Good communication skills;
• Commercial and flexible attitude.
