General Purpose

Ensure empty cases are available to production departments to meet production schedules and provide assistance to shipping by moving trailers as requested and according to established Company policies and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and clean all equipment in assigned area
  2. Slide case stacks from truck using milk hook or pallet jack as appropriate
  3. Ensure conveyor tracks are filled with empty cases to prevent production delays
  4. Confirm empty case area is full of cases at end of shift to help next shift with production run
  5. Correctly prioritize which truck to empty first based on input from supervisors, yard drivers, or others
  6. Continuously scan the area and straighten up to reduce trip and slip hazards
  7. Spot broken or otherwise unusable cases and remove them to the designated area
  8. Handle returned and truck inventory product as instructed
  9. Ensure trailers are unloaded and washed in a timely and efficient manner while keeping dock doors closed at all times when not in use
  10. Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information
  11. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
  12. Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
  13. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  14. Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  15. Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
