2026 Summer Internship | HR Operations
School Year: Juniors or Seniors
Dates of the Internship: June 1st - August 7th (10 weeks)
Format: Hybrid in Chicago, Illinois (Camping World's hybrid work model allows employees to work in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with the option to work from home on Thursday and Friday)
Camping World is looking for a HR Operations Intern for the summer of 2026. As an intern, you will assist with daily HR operations tasks and data management. You will gain first-hand HRIS experience working with core HR business processes and system enhancements. If you are eager to learn, have a strong interest in HR systems and want to further develop yourself as a professional; this is the ideal role for you.
What You'll Do
- Contribute as a member of the HR Operations team who owns the functional development and execution of core HR processes through Workday.
- Assist with transactions related to key business processes such as onboarding, offboarding, job and organizational changes through our inbox and ticketing systems.
- Support end users and partner teams with HR data requests. Diagnose data issues through troubleshooting and make necessary corrections.
- Assist with standard and ad hoc reporting requests.
- Gain exposure to the continued development of Workday core HR through priorities identified in our roadmap.
- Follow a new core HR business process design change or enhancement from intake to deployment.
- Participate in a Capstone Internship Project including a final presentation to Executive Leadership.
What You'll Need to Have for the Role
- In pursuit of a degree, or a recent graduate with a concentration in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- Cumulative 3.0 GPA
- A graduation date between December 2026-July 2027.
- Ability to relocate to Chicago for the summer term (June 1-August 7). Camping World does not provide relocation or housing stipends.
- Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office: Suite: (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Technically savvy with the ability to learn new systems and interpret data
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor and strict confidentiality of employee and company information
- Must be customer focused, detail-oriented and demonstrate problem solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
