As Vice President – Corporate Affairs Operations, you will report to the SVP – Chief Counsel, HCD, M&A and Strategy & Operations, and lead the Corporate Affairs operations team, driving operational strategy, financial management, technology and firm/vendor management while delivering actionable, data-driven insights. You will partner with Corporate Affairs leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand and advance the enterprise and department priorities, while ensuring the department meets its financial commitments, including engaging proactively to anticipate, manage and resolve any variances. You will manage a team of over 10 operations professionals.
Operational Leadership: Provide overarching direction for Corporate Affairs operations, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into resourced execution plans across core domains, including technology, knowledge management, financial management, firm/vendor management, and department communications. Responsible for developing and overseeing execution of a technology strategy roadmap to advance the use of technology in Corporate Affairs.
Enterprise Alignment: Serve as a senior connector across central Operations, Finance, DDAT, Enterprise Communications, and functional leaders, aligning priorities, resolving dependencies, and guiding resource decisions.
Financial & Vendor Oversight: Manage the financial performance for the Corporate Affairs function. Set strategic direction for budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Lead vendor management strategy for a large portfolio of external spend, including establishing performance standards and panel governance, ensuring effective utilization of firms/vendors while driving consistency and efficiencies.
Process & Governance: Establish and enforce policies, best practices, and governance frameworks that streamline workflows, strengthen compliance, and enable effective knowledge sharing.
Performance Management: Define and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting standards to assess operational effectiveness and drive accountability across the function.
20+ years of experience in legal operations within complex, matrixed organizations
Advanced expertise in budgeting, forecasting, resource optimization, vendor oversight and technology management
Experience establishing and managing firm/vendor management programs, and demonstrated success in achieving cost savings from those programs
Record of driving enterprise-level impact
Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives, align cross-functional stakeholders, and lead large-scale transformation initiatives

Experience in a healthcare or regulated industry company supporting related functions, such as public policy/government affairs, compliance and/or communications, in addition to legal.
Deep understanding of the litigation process, and experience partnering with litigation teams on firm and financial management.
Skilled in using KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven insights to measure performance, guide decision-making and ensure accountability.
Understanding of benchmarking and best practices that drive efficient legal service delivery and experiencing developing and implementing processes.
Proven ability to recruit, develop and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Ability to collaborate effectively and work as a team player.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $220,000.00
Maximum: $320,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
