Shared Services Manager

The Shared Services Manager provides leadership and supervision to a team of non-exempt Coordinators, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of key financial functions such as accounts payable and receivable. This role is part of a centralized Shared Services model, which consolidates transactional and administrative support across the organization to drive consistency, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong managerial skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance team development with operational demands. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate effective time management and decision-making abilities.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Shared Services Oversight: Direct and support Shared Services initiatives, including the creation and maintenance of tools and resources that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision: Monitor team performance, assess available capacity, and identify training needs. Conduct one-on-one meetings and team meetings to provide timely and professional feedback, addressing deficiencies and promoting continuous development.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate workflows and recommend improvements to increase effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with accounting teams and other departments to resolve issues and ensure cohesive operations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track team performance and progress of initiatives. Present updates to leadership to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to policies, compliance standards, and internal controls.
  • Project Leadership: Lead departmental projects and participate on relevant committees, driving initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required to support departmental and organizational success.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of non-exempt Coordinators
  • Delegation of tasks and problem-solving support
  • Leadership in project coordination and team development

Education/Experience/Training:

  • College degree preferred (not limited to Accounting) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing direct reports.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role. The compensation for the position is: $72,250.00 - $85,000.00.
