Project Engineer - Electrical
This role is responsible for planning, monitoring, and coordinating execution activities. Also monitor energy consumption and work to reduce usage within the construction process.
About the Role:
- On-site activities including Electrical and ELV package including DG SET, UPS, as well as
- Reviewing engineering drawings, layouts, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Leading entire project team including architects, consultants, project managers, vendors etc.
- Design coordination to be done with consultant
- Supervising and commissioning and testing of HT/LT Panel, transformer, Busduct, LT panel, Earthing, Cable Tray and HT & LT Cable Laying etc.
- He should have knowledge in ELV Package like BMS, FAS, PAS, IT, CCTV, ACS, UPS.
- Track project progress against the schedule, identifying and addressing any deviations specific to Electrical project tasks.
- Manage client expectations, ensuring they are kept informed of project status and any issues.
- Coordinated with all agencies and vendor involved in project.
- Experience in electrical project execution with industrial processes and equipment, such as pumps, motors, and valves.
- Oral and written communication skills too good and ability to properly document installation of work and ensuring compliance with quality.
- Ability to work independently, accepting ownership of assigned responsibility.
- Interact with Consultants, Architects, M&E Contractors, Suppliers, and guide engineering consultancy team to detail concepts / vendors.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Excel, Word, and AutoCAD.
- Assist in preparing project execution plans, schedules, and resource planning.
- Track material delivery, inspections, and storage at site.
- Ensure implementation of safety practices (LOTO, PPE, grounding procedures).
- Review method statements and installation checklists.
- Ensure timely submission of DPR, WPR, MOMs, and project closure reports.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in industrial setups (HT/LT panels, transformers, motors, PLCs, MCCs, VFDs, Earthing and Automation etc.
- Good communication, team coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge in EPC projects or greenfield/brownfield industrial installations.
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, manpower planning, and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate with clients for final inspection, punch list clearance, and handover.
- Day-to day coordination with the contractors at site.
- Review the 'GOOD FOR CONSTRUCTION' drawings being issued for construction and report any proposed changes and their implications to Client.
- Develop method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis, Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
- Review payment requests/ Bills/ Invoices, coordinate certification and other conditions for payment and submit to Client.
About You:
- B.E Electrical & Instrumental with 8 to 10 years of experience
- Proficient in mathematical and computer skills, including Excel, Word, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
