The Senior Sourcing Manager is a key role to support and enable Global and Regional Category leaders and their strategies As a Sourcing Lead you are accountable for developing Sourcing and negotiation strategies to deliver sustainable results across certain Marketing Communications categories such as Media, Production, Marketing Technologies, Experiential, Market Research, Public Relations among others by identifying new opportunities for value and process improvement You will need a strong sense of urgency and the ability to succinctly frame issues and alternatives to drive decisions forward This role will report to the site Director while also receiving strategic category guidance from the global team.
Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in Procurement with a bachelor's degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA) • 5+ years leading the development and management of category plans or sourcing strategies specific to marketing categories • Deep understanding of cost models and performance metrics • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills using tools such as Microsoft Excel • Past experiences in helping develop business cases for change, through leveraging business acumen market intelligence, and insights to drive a broad strategic impact across an organization • Demonstrated contract and agreement negotiation experience including development of negotiating plans and strategies • Strong stakeholder relationship-management skills and ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with senior-to-exec management • Excellent written oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action. You need to be able to tell compelling stories through insights and data • Proficiency in English. The candidate must have excellent command of the English language both written and spoken. This includes the ability to effectively present information respond to questions and write reports and business correspondence in English • Proficiency in purchasing systems and organizational interfaces including Ariba, Coupa, DocuSign and Oracle Preferred Qualifications • 8 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree e.g. Masters MBA JD MD • Experience in strategic sourcing using a formal 7 step sourcing process • 2+ years supporting the development and management of category plans or sourcing strategies specific to indirect categories • Experience working in a global and matrix organization
