Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operations and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The VCA team within Japan provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to our clients in Japan, that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy.

VCA Managed Services members play a key role in enhancing the partnership with one of Visa Japan's largest clients by supporting strategic planning and implementation of their most strategic initiatives.

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to drive consulting engagements and Visa solution sell-in for one of our largest clients in Japan, contributing to strategy and new business development in their B2B business, application of agentic AI, and other strategic agenda.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for the client-facing portion of client engagements and will act as the main focal point, coordinating between the client team, other internal stakeholders, and outsourcing partners (as applicable).

Responsibilities:

• Drive initiative implementation to enable client's strategic projects by applying Visa solutions and consulting methodologies.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with client managers and key stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality project outcomes by utilizing consulting and/or product management skills.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
• Develop expertise in relevant subject areas.
• Oversee project setup and administrative tasks.
• This is a hybrid position.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

You will bring solid professional experience and a strong curiosity about the payments industry, eager to deepen your expertise by working with an experienced team. You are client-focused, comfortable managing projects or workstreams from planning through execution, and enjoy collaborating closely with clients to support their business goals. Specific skills and experience required include:

• Fluent Japanese and business-level proficiency in English
• 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, product management, or project management
• Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional, and cross-regional projects
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong team orientation with a collaborative, diplomatic, and adaptable style
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent presentation skills
• Self-motivated and results-driven
• Flexible mindset with resilience
• Commercial awareness
• Interest in analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the payments, including issuing and acquiring businesses. Understanding of banking or technology sectors is also a plus. Experience in business planning, product development, service design and marketing within the B2C industry. PMP certification or experience in technical project management. Familiarity with statistical analysis, modeling, or scoring methods.
