Unique opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic on a 7/7 FIFO roster to join our team specialising in engine maintenance and repairs across mining applications. In this permanent, embedded role, you will provide breakdown and scheduled maintenance service to our client in the Bowen Basin region. The role operates on a 7/7 (Dayshift) rotating roster. Successful applicants will be supplied with flights to & from site, camp accommodation & meals. Flights are available in and out of Rockhampton & Townsville airports.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Work on critical mining projects
• First responder to breakdown events
• Fleet maintenance
• Fault diagnostics
• Engine repairs both major and minor
• Work with other major OEMs such as Hitachi, Liebherr etc.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Plant or Heavy Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products in field service. Cummins engines are highly preferred
• Experience at Mine sites is highly advantageous
• Solid diagnostic and IT capabilities
• Good Communications Skills

Successful applicants will be supplied with flights to & from site, camp accommodation & meals. Flights are available in and out of Rockhampton & Townsville airports. This is a FIFO role with flights out of Townsville and Rockhampton. Technician will be required to fly in a day before shift and fly home the afternoon of their last shift. This is a 7/7 roster role working 12hrs per day with meals and accommodation provided.
