Engineering Intern

Specific information about the area:

Update machine control systems in the gear area; implement and document the training center.

Activities:

  • Meet with the engineer in charge to review project progress.
  • Tour the target areas and the areas where Controls is responsible.
  • Continue assigned projects.
  • Begin documenting project progress.

The student will be developed in:

  • Occupational Health and Safety – Mandatory training at the GPL Center.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) training.
  • SCADA system training.
  • Purchase requisition training.
  • Work instruction training.
  • Manufacturing process training.

Requirements:

  • Availability for 1 year as an active student (enrolled at the University until June–July 2027).
  • Availability to cover 7 morning hours from Monday to Friday, preferably from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Student of: Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Mechanical Engineering, or Systems and Computer Engineering.
  • Must have a Federal Taxpayer Registry (RFC).
  • English level: Basic to Intermediate (speaking, writing, and listening).
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
