Position Summary: The Campus Services Life Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting a safe, secure, and compliant work environment across the SSC campus. This role oversees critical safety systems, emergency preparedness, and select facility-related processes while partnering with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Glad Hand locking system (trailer safety lockout), including assignment, tracking, and timely replacement of damaged or non-compliant locks.
  • Conduct routine in-house inspections of fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, extinguishers, and AEDs; document findings and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform weekly riser and Post Indicator Valve (PIV) inspections to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate quarterly/yearly 3rd party life safety related inspections and ensure full compliance.
  • Oversee first aid program management, including inventory control, restocking, and readiness of all first aid kits across the facility.
  • Maintain and update evacuation stations and emergency preparedness materials to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Manage key control for the SSC, ensuring proper issuance, tracking, and access governance in alignment with security protocols.
  • Conduct daily inspections of IDF and server rooms to identify risks related to security, environmental conditions (e.g., temperature), and general safety
  • Support preventative maintenance efforts by identifying facility issues and coordinating with maintenance teams for timely resolution.
  • Assist in routine facility walkthroughs to identify potential hazards, housekeeping concerns, and compliance gaps.
  • Partner with Facilities and Security teams to support vendor access, project work, and safety adherence on-site.
  • Maintain accurate inspection logs, compliance records, and audit documentation.

Working Relationships: Works with all departments across the entire SSC.

Requirements:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum Experience: 1+ Year in a facilities, safety, security, or maintenance-related role

Preferred Experience: 2- 3 Years in facilities, safety, security, or maintenance-related role

Soft Skills:

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong computer skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments at the same time
  • Experience in facilities, safety, security, or maintenance-related roles preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fire and life safety systems and general building operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple systems and processes simultaneously.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to safety concerns in a timely manner.

Travel: Local travel. Must have valid drivers license.

Hours & Conditions: M-F 7am – 3:30pm with Flexibility.

Physical Requirements: Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
