As we continue to expand rapidly through the advancement and optimization of our pipeline, we are looking to strengthen our UK Medical Affairs team with the addition of a Field Medical Advisor (FMA). This role will focus mainly on supporting our plans in ANCA-associated vasculitis and IgA nephropathy.

This role covers approximately one-third of the UK, including the North East, North West of England, and Scotland. The FMA plays a critical role in representing Medical Affairs externally, building and maintaining strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Health Care Professionals (HCPs), and key accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and professional organizations.
  • Act as a trusted medical resource, collaborating with commercial, marketing, market access, and medical teams to ensure delivery of our plans.
  • Represent CSL Vifor at scientific meetings, congresses and professional groups.
  • Provide medical input into the development and review of promotional and non-promotional materials and strategies, ensuring ABPI compliance.
  • Deliver disease education and clinical data to HCPs and respond to medical information requests.
  • Facilitate scientific engagement and exchange with KOLs and support real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives.
  • Support and execute medical activities such as advisory boards, symposia, hospital meetings, and speaker programs.
  • Provide internal medical training, including for the sales team.
  • Contribute to company-sponsored clinical research and support investigator-initiated studies (IIS).
  • Monitor scientific and clinical developments in nephrology and rheumatology through literature, media, and conferences.
  • Ensure all activities and insights are captured in internal systems, plans and comply with internal regulations, and company policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree in a medical or life sciences field (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or similar role.
  • Proven experience in KOL engagement and development of medical engagement and cross-functional integrated account plans.
  • Strong cross functional work ethics, communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in literature review, medical training delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and externally focused.
  • Based in the North of the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PhD, PharmD) or Master's degree in a relevant medical field.
  • Clinical and/or research experience in nephrology and rheumatology.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience (local, regional or national).
  • 3+ years in a field medical or MSL role.
  • Demonstrated success in scientific engagement and medical strategy execution.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and scientific advancement. If you are passionate about medical science and thrive in a collaborative, field-based role, we would love to hear from you.
