At CSIRO, Australia's national science agency, we are proud to work alongside the Wajarri Yamaji, the Traditional Owners and Native Title Holders of the land on which the Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, the CSIRO Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory is located. The Wajarri Yamaji gifted this name, meaning "sharing sky and stars" in the Wajarri language, in recognition of our shared connection to the land and the skies above. The observatory hosts world-class radio telescopes and is home to the SKA Observatory's (SKAO) SKA-Low telescope, one of the most significant global scientific projects currently under construction.
We are seeking an Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) Support Officer to assist CSIRO in fulfilling its commitments under the ILUA and the associated Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP). This role is central to ensuring respectful engagement, compliance, and the successful implementation of shared obligations between CSIRO, the Wajarri Yamaji Aboriginal Corporation (WYAC), the Australian Government Department of Innovation, Science and Resources (DISR), and the SKAO.
