VIE Sustainability Support Engineer

Join the Sustainability EMEA team and contribute to several strategic projects aimed at enhancing employee awareness of sustainability issues, particularly around the Twentyby30 program. This role will be based at our Wantage site in the UK.

The VIE (Volontariat International en Entreprise) program is open to all European Union nationals. This position is specifically for candidates eligible to join Crown under a VIE contract for a fixed term of 18 to 24 months. Main Missions

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Implement the utility tracking dashboard (water, energy, etc.) for the EMEA region.
  • Analyze EMEA performance against Twentyby30 objectives: water/energy consumption, GHG emissions, wastewater, waste.
  • Monthly tracking of energy/water KPIs by plant (vs budget, actual, previous year) and transmission of key variances.
  • Verify the quality of environmental reporting in OneStream and the alignment between ESG and financial reports.
  • Support the implementation of the new ESG platform to meet CSRD and other regulatory requirements.

Net Zero Program

  • Participate in the development of the climate transition plan and the roadmap to carbon neutrality.

Supply Chain – Scope 3

  • Consolidation of regional aluminum purchases (recycled content, supplier carbon footprint).
  • Analysis and consolidation of other Scope 3 data.

Communication & Awareness

  • Support the deployment of the 5-year strategic Twentyby30 plan across production sites.
  • Deploy and maintain the Sustainability SharePoint site to centralize resources (documents, presentations, etc.) for internal stakeholders.

About You:

  • Education: Mechanical, generalist, or industrial engineer with a specialization in environment or sustainability.
  • Experience: Initial experience in ESG analysis or sustainability reporting (internship or analyst position preferred, but not required).
  • Skills:
    • Good analytical spirit and attention to detail to identify improvement paths and ensure quality of work.
    • Ability to take initiatives and work independently, while also collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Constructive, solution-oriented mindset with a desire to contribute to a dynamic team.
    • Very good time management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Project management experience is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - English is indispensable.
