Tax Services Senior Associate - Partnerships

Crowe is seeking a Tax Services Senior Associate (Senior Staff) – Federal to join the Crowe Tax team in India. At Crowe Tax India, our purpose is "Shaping Your Better Tomorrow. Together. Today." This position is responsible for US tax compliance work for our clients including preparation and initial review of Tax returns and work with other tax professionals in the firm.

Federal Tax Compliance Responsibilities:

  1. Perform detailed review of U.S. Federal Partnership tax returns
  2. Prepare and conduct detailed review of K-1s, workpapers, including taxable income calculations
  3. Knowledge of Corporate tax returns and state returns is a plus

Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss and resolve tax matters

Manage client engagement timelines and priorities, liaising with the resource management team to align staff assignments with engagement demands

Collaborating within an interactive team to engage in the tax planning and consultation process, committed to delivering an inclusive and exceptional client experience

Conducting research on client issues and effectively communicating findings with managers

Utilizing interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members

Continuously upgrade your knowledge of new tax techniques and stay informed about changes in tax regulations

Provide mentorship to junior staff and interns, supporting their growth and enhancing the collective success of our inclusive team

Play a key role in the Tax team to deliver exceptional client service within a collaborative team environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • Minimum 3.5 years of experience in US taxation, with understanding of federal and state tax compliance
  • Proficiency in using Tax software like OneSource Income Tax, CCH and Go system
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree, CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
  • Prior experience with Big 4 or a large national, regional or U.S.-based accounting firm and/or in-house corporate tax experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technically proficient with strong accounting, analytical and research skills
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and independently define, implement, and manage new processes
  • Technology skills including MS-Office, Alteryx
