Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity leader to join our growing team as a Financial Services Cybersecurity Senior Manager (Temporary). The ideal candidate brings a strong background in financial services cybersecurity, with deep expertise in banking and a breadth of exposure across fintech, capital markets, insurance, or digital assets. This individual will lead engagements, supervise and mentor team members, and contribute to the development of innovative cybersecurity strategies and internal audit programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cybersecurity engagements within the financial services sector, including cybersecurity assessments, internal audits, cybersecurity program development, and compliance readiness and response.
- Supervise and oversee cybersecurity engagements, ensuring alignment with industry frameworks and client expectations. Manage project resources, budgets, timelines and communications.
- Supervise and provide oversight to cybersecurity professionals on client engagements; ensure high-quality deliverables and consistent adherence to Crowe's methodologies.
- Enhance Crowe's cybersecurity products offered to financial institutions based on market feedback background working in cybersecurity consulting and/or with financial services clients.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in banking cybersecurity and provide advisory services in related sectors such as fintech, insurance, capital markets, or digital assets.
- Communicate deliverables and reports to clients, executives, and regulatory stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
- Coach, train, and develop junior team members; foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to business development activities including proposal development, client presentations, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging threats, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of cybersecurity experience in the banking industry; additional experience in fintech, capital markets, insurance, or digital assets is a plus.
- At least three years of supervisory experience, including team leadership, performance feedback, and training delivery.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, controls, and regulatory requirements relevant to financial services (e.g., GLBA, NYDFS, PCI DSS, FFIEC).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- At least one relevant certification such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field
