About the Role

The CrowdStrike DRIVE (Data, Reporting, Intelligence, Visualization, Engineering) centralized analytics team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Data Engineer III who will power internal data products for executives by building reliable datasets. The ideal candidate is a highly-technical individual contributor who enjoys the challenge of connecting data across multiple domains and architecting scalable solutions to drive insights at the highest level of the company.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build performant, scalable data models and SQL-based pipelines that power executive reporting solutions.
  • Develop modular, maintainable, and well-documented DBT models to standardize business logic and ensure consistency across data products.
  • Optimize large datasets in Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse) with a focus on query performance, resource efficiency, and ease of use for downstream consumers.
  • Implement automated processes for data validation, ensuring high standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all pipelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to deeply understand reporting needs and translate them into clean, reliable, and intuitive datasets.
  • Partner closely with business teams to understand key metrics and definitions, then implement them in SQL and dbt for consistent usage across reporting layers.
  • Act as a translator between business goals and technical implementation, converting high-level requirements into performant queries and scalable data assets.
  • Continuously monitor and fine-tune data workflows, SQL queries, and cloud resources to improve data processing performance, reduce latency, and optimize costs.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelors in any STEM field
  • 12+ years of data engineering or analytics engineering experience, with at least 4 years supporting Marketing, Sales, or Finance teams.
  • Significant experience building optimized datasets, automating pipelines, and monitoring data quality for Tableau (or other data visualization tool).
  • Expert-level SQL skills with a track record of delivering large, performant datasets and dashboards in Tableau or a similar BI tool.
  • Deep familiarity with Snowflake or other modern cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, self-direct work, and move quickly without sacrificing data quality.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or lightweight data transformations.
  • Experience with dbt and best practices for building scalable analytics codebases.
  • Experience with business tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, People.ai.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
