Director Of Marketing Operations

The Director of Marketing Operations leads a high-capacity team responsible for executing, distributing, and optimizing Crossway's digital marketing campaigns. This team ensures that content strategy and messaging—developed by the Content Marketing Team—are executed with excellence and efficiency across Crossway's platforms. The Director of Marketing Operations ensures that all digital campaigns are launched accurately and on time, while also providing platform-specific insight and reporting to continually improve marketing performance and expand audience engagement.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Marketing Operations team through effective supervision, project prioritization, and performance evaluation.
  • Overseeing the execution of all digital campaigns across email, social media, and promotional platforms.
  • Directing the creation and scheduling of all marketing emails, daily devotional emails, and Crossway+ promotions.
  • Overseeing social media (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X), ensuring best practices and maximizing engagement.
  • Managing Crossway's YouTube channels and optimizing viewer engagement.
  • Serving as the Crossway+ admin lead, creating discounts, promotions, and ensuring accurate execution.
  • Developing and managing strategies for growing and segmenting email lists and digital audiences.
  • Collaborating with the Digital team to support the growth of the ESV App subscriber base.
  • Leading quality control for digital campaigns, including final proofreading and brand/style alignment.
  • Overseeing project timelines and asset delivery in collaboration with the Creative and Copywriting & Project Management teams.
  • Leading performance reporting and analytics—maintaining dashboards and sharing feedback regularly with the Content Marketing Team.
  • Conducting robust testing (A/B testing, layouts, send times, etc.) to optimize email and campaign performance.
  • Leading with best practices for all product marketing initiatives.

Professional qualities include being a highly organized, data-informed leader with an eye for detail and a mind for efficiency. This individual should be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable managing complex, deadline-driven workflows. A strong communicator and problem-solver, they should be skilled in navigating and building relationships across departments within Crossway, managing digital tools and various marketing platforms. Most importantly, they should have a deep love for gospel-centered content and a passion for helping connect that content with a wide and diverse audience through digital channels.

Personal qualities include having a genuine faith in Jesus Christ as one's Lord and Savior and a love for God's Word. They must be an active participant in a local church and be committed to an evangelical, historic Reformation understanding of the Bible, the gospel, and Christian doctrine. They must have a pleasing personal demeanor with a servant's heart. Commitment to the Crossway publishing ministry and vision, as summarized in the following statement of purpose: By God's grace: (a) to bring men, women, and children to Christ as their Lord and Savior; (b) to help individual Christians and the church grow in knowledge and understanding of the Bible and the Christian life; (c) to bear witness to God's Truth, Beauty, and Righteousness, and the Lordship of Christ in every area of life; and (d) to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in every way.

The benefit program includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, life, long term, and short term disability insurance, paid vacation and illness days, 11 paid holidays, and participation in a retirement plan including a 25% company match of up to $1,500 for full time and part time employees. This position offers an annual salary range of 75-80k and is based on previous work experience, education, acquired skills, and established relationships. Compensation is reviewed and evaluated annually by the Executive Compensation Committee (ECC) of the Crossway Board of Directors.
