We are currently looking for a dedicated Key Account Manager for the defense market within the division "Smart & Reliable Systems" (SRS). Our company enjoys an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality solutions with clear added value for our customers.

The ideal candidate is practical, disciplined, and a well-organized personality who can work independently and efficiently on a key account with a focus on Germany. You will develop the business in a strategically important key account by building a trustworthy and long-term customer relationship and addressing the customer's individual challenges. As part of the role, you are expected to actively contribute to the tactical and strategic business development of the SRS division.

You will receive support from colleagues from Germany, Great Britain, and Portugal to be successful and continue our rapid growth.

What do we expect from you?

  • Collect and maintain detailed knowledge about the customer, its challenges and market trends, as well as its positioning in the overall market
  • Participate in relevant network meetings, events, and activities for lead generation and sales promotion
  • Build close relationships with key decision-makers of the key account in the German defense market
  • Research and identify new contacts and leads within the account
  • Develop business development plans and market offerings
  • Utilize networks and social media (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Participate in virtual and physical events for lead generation
  • Follow up on opportunities and leads, build new, strong customer relationships, develop convincing offers, and close deals
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct presentations and demonstrations
  • Develop a strategy to increase business potential in the key account

What makes you the right person for this role?

  • Completed higher education in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic key account management of customized services and solutions
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the defense market (mandatory)
  • International experience is advantageous
  • Understanding or interest in mission-critical systems and software development
  • Experience in contract management as well as strong negotiation skills
  • Advisory working style, initiative in relationship building and networking, as well as willingness to support the team
  • Excellent German and English language skills in speech and writing, with the ability to clearly formulate and present technical requirements
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Portugal
