Role Summary The Sales Team Lead provides critical day-to-day leadership support on the sales floor. This role is responsible for managing sales chat queues, handling key overrides, assisting with scheduling and coverage, and supporting team culture and recognition. Acting as a bridge between Debt Consultants and Sales Managers, the Team Lead ensures smooth operations, helps resolve escalations, and supports initiatives that strengthen performance and engagement. This position is designed as a growth opportunity for high-performing sales professionals to step into leadership and prepare for future Sales Management roles.

Core Responsibilities

  • Overrides – Primary responsibility above all others
  • Change of ownership capabilities on opportunities
  • Credit score overrides
  • Bank verification overrides
  • First draft date overrides
  • Address overrides
  • Void DocuSign agreements
  • Program duration overrides
  • Success fee overrides

2. Scheduling & Coverage

  • Work rotating Saturday shifts alongside Sales Managers.
  • Assist in managing Saturday and holiday schedules.
  • Handle chat coverage during executive dinners, leadership meetings, and company events.
  • Ensure DC Leads schedule is in place for Sundays and evenings.

3. Team Support & Engagement

  • Manage Monday lunch orders and catering needs as required.
  • Support Sales Managers with recognition, spiffs, and sales meeting preparations.
  • Assist with special projects, escalations, and sales rejects as assigned by management.
  • Contribute ideas for improving scripts, workflows, and tools based on rep feedback.
  • Support new hire onboarding and QA feedback.
  • Foster a positive, supportive culture.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (debt settlement or financial services preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of CreditAssociates systems and sales processes.
  • Proven ability to handle escalations and resolve client or system issues quickly.
  • High attention to detail, especially with overrides, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to engage and motivate peers.
  • Interest and drive to grow into a Sales Management role.
