Operations Lead

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for customer inventory, receipts, put away and shipping for a specific client.
• Dispatch drivers and respond to drivers' calls
• Notify drivers of assignments and direct their activities to ensure cargo is picked up and delivered
• Update database on all dispatched moves
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations
• Coordinate with other departments within the company
• Respond to & solve production problems
• Train employees on job specific duties
• Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements
• Effectively communicate with clients, vendors and employees daily
• Assist Operations Manager with planning and budget process
• Other duties as assigned

• Problem solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
• Client Service- manages difficult client situations, responds promptly to client needs and welcome client feedback
• Quality management- look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness

Physical Requirements

• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Four years industry experience required.
