Support the repair and the improvement of existing products by building, servicing, troubleshooting, and testing pumps and or pump system components along with analyzing test results and conducting service evaluations.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Root cause failure analysis. Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and management
• Removes, installs, diagnoses, repairs, disassembles, assembles pumps and/or pump system components in house and at job site (as the situation requires) using company provided tools
• Paint parts/pumps with water, enamel, and 2-part epoxy based paints
• Test pumps and pump components; including:
• Plumb and wire pumps for testing
• Operate test equipment
• Tabulate/report test results
• Analyze test results and service evaluations
Qualifications and Skills
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Two years of assembly, maintenance, or repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical/electronic panel equipment
• Solid mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills with a familiarity of pumps and pump systems a plus
• Must be able to analyze data and write reports
• Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics
• Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, excel, etc.)
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Strong attention to details
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to travel – up to 20% of the time depending on need
• Valid drivers license to operate company vehicle
• Lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds about 2/3 of the time, and up to 100 pounds up to 1/3 of the time. Must reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and balance. These are incorporated in frequent need to lift large plumbing, parts, or pumps. Worker is assisted by cranes, hoist, or forklift for heavy or awkward loads.
