AVP, Software Engineering - Enterprise Services

The AVP, Software Engineering - Enterprise Services provides senior engineering leadership serving the entire Cox Automotive enterprise at scale — with full accountability for both end-to-end value delivery and the health, depth, and innovation of the engineering platforms that enable it. Leads software engineering organization across Financial Platforms, Service Enablement, Data, Analytics and AI, and Master Data, ensuring each platform is built and maintained with engineering excellence and AI readiness.

Primary duties/key responsibilities include:

• Serving as the single engineering escalation point for value stream delivery
• Operating as a peer to Product leadership on roadmap prioritization, delivery planning, and stakeholder communication
• Holding Platform Leaders accountable for platform health, technical depth, AI tooling adoption, and the performance of Value Stream Leaders
• Establishing appropriate engineering operating model for value stream delivery
• Resolving cross-platform engineering dependencies and release coordination
• Accountable for the health and strategic direction of Cox Automotive's Oracle EBS environments and leading the enterprise's adoption of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Accountable for operations and support across Enterprise Platforms
• Developing and retaining Platform Leaders
• Leading AI Transformation execution across the value stream
• Reimagining service management at enterprise scale through AI

Required experience includes a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 14 years' experience in a related field with at least 7 years' experience in a management role; or a master's degree and 12 years' experience; or PhD and 9 years' experience. Proven ability to lead and develop large, complex engineering organizations, experience building or scaling enterprise data and AI platforms, experience with enterprise financial platforms and service management, demonstrated understanding of enterprise data governance, data strategy, and how analytics and AI platforms create leverage across a large organization, experience designing or evolving enterprise service management platforms at scale, strong technology thought leadership, exceptional executive presence, experience leading or participating in AI transformation programs, mastery skills in analytical thinking, business acumen, requirements analysis, and technology strategy, and mastery skills in building partnerships, executive communication, engaging others across all levels of the organization, guiding team success, leading change, and leading with vision.
