Position: Systems Engineer MTDC EMEA (m/f/d)

As a Systems Engineer at Corning, you will be responsible for the Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) generation process and you will represent Corning as a product and solution expert, working closely with both internal and external customers across the EMEA region. This role is a blend of technical expertise and customer interaction, requiring a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and a robust background in network architecture.
Conduct thorough BOM verification to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications and Corning's product portfolio.
Advise customers (internal or external) about products and their use in various applications. This includes explaining product benefits and determining detailed part number lists necessary for system solutions to fulfill customer RFQs (Request for Quote).
Collaborate with account managers and customers to address technical inquiries, provide solutions and resolve any discrepancies identified during the BOM verification process.
Create datasheets, system design, rack elevation drawings, technical papers and customer responses as needed.
Deliver internal and external training, workshops and presentations on Corning products directly to customers, installers, and distribution partners.
Provide pre-sales and after-sales customer support including product recommendation, system design, system installation training, testing, and troubleshooting at customer site.
Provide feedback to development/PLM (product line management) regarding new product evaluation, product improvements and compliance to regional standards and norms.
Education: University Engineering Degree.
Experience: At least 2-5 years in Telecom, Data Center, or ICT (Information & Communications Technology) design and engineering.
Up to 25% of the working time, primarily within Europe, but also potentially to the US, or Asia.
