Engineer IV

Own the FAU assembly and test process end to end—from NPI through high volume manufacturing (HVM)—ensuring automation architecture, scalability, robust yield, and competitive cost.

1. Process Ownership & Manufacturing Strategy • Serve as the single end to end process owner for FAU assembly and test from NPI to HVM. • Define the process scalability roadmap covering volume, cost, and manufacturing footprint. • Drive DfM/DfX feedback into FAU product design to ensure manufacturability at scale.

2. Automation Architecture & Deployment • Act as Automation Architect for FAU assembly and test, defining the end to end automation concept (manual → semi automated → fully automated). • Specify automation requirements for alignment, assembly, test, handling, and traceability. • Interface with automation integrators, equipment suppliers, and CMs to ensure solutions are scalable, cost effective, and deployable across manufacturing partners. • Own the automation roadmap and deployment timing aligned with ramp plans.

3. NPI Readiness & Transfer to Manufacturing • Own FAU manufacturing readiness through EVT, DVT, and PVT. • Define process readiness criteria and ensure timely NPI to HVM transitions. • Own process transfer packages to contract manufacturers and support ramp up, yield learning, and stabilization.

4. Yield, Metrology & Process Control • Define metrology, inspection, and test strategies. • Own yield performance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. • Define and maintain SPC frameworks, Cp/Cpk targets, and control plans.

5. Success Metrics • FAU yield, throughput, and stability • Automation coverage and scalability • NPI to HVM transition time • Cost per FAU
