The Field Service Technician 1 is responsible for performing on-site repairs, inspections, and maintenance of building products while ensuring safety, quality, and excellent customer service. This role provides hands-on experience in field operations, process adherence, and customer interaction, with opportunities to develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and industry knowledge. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to delivering reliable service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. They will also live in or within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX area.
Field Repairs & Adjustments: Perform basic field repairs, including hardware and glass replacements, operational adjustments, and product inspections.
Product Evaluations & Inspections: Conduct on-site evaluations to assess product performance and identify repair needs.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of glass, working at heights, and use of PPE; maintain and inspect safety equipment and first aid kits.
Vehicle Operation & Maintenance: Operate company vehicles safely, adhering to local laws, and perform routine maintenance to ensure reliability.
Inventory Management: Manage tools and supplies inventory to maintain proper stock and organization.
Customer Service & Communication: Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair issues and solutions, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
Travel: Travel within assigned territory daily; overnight travel may be required depending on territory.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to complete precise repairs and inspections.
Excellent customer service skills to build trust and ensure repeat business.
Physical stamina and dexterity; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs consistently, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

What You'll Need:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
License: Valid driver's license with ability to successfully clear an MVR check.
Experience: 1–2 years of general construction or building material installation experience preferred.
1–2 years of fenestration manufacturing or installation experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Basic computer skills (Outlook & CRM).
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
