Assistant Nurse Manager

Twenty-five operating rooms performing a vast variety of operative procedures/surgical specialties including Trauma and Open-Heart Surgery Programs. The department provides elective and emergency surgery Monday - Sunday, 24 hours per day. Rotating call, holiday, and weekend assignments.

Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.

Qualifications

Effective June 1, 2025, Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required. 2 years of relevant nursing experience Required. Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) Preferred. MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required. AHA or ARC Basic Life Support Required.
