The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.
The Senior Network Services Architect will work within Network Services Architecture organization, focusing on global architecture, standardization, automation, tools, and emerging technologies. The candidate will be expected to support the Network Services portfolio, and work in a cross-organizational setting to ratify services and use-cases across the global enterprise. This candidate must demonstrate industry knowledge in Software Defined infrastructure, cloud strategies, data center and WAN technologies, global load balancing, automation development and workflows. The candidate will be required to develop reference architectures, support existing standards through a comprehensive review process, present to Architecture Boards, and develop standards based upon business requirements.
In addition, the candidate should have a strong background in: Route/Switch Software Defined Data Center (Cisco ACI, Arista Cloud Vision, and associated Arista fabrics), F5 Load Balancing, Aruba Networking, Aruba Clearpass, and AppViewX. Strong technical knowledge in the areas of DDI, secure proxy, DDoS, Zero Trust Networking, Tools (NetBrain, Netscout, AppviewX, Spectrum, OpenText Network Automation) and/or content delivery, NAC, firewall, Azure, and AWS is required.
Responsibilities
- Support the Network Services portfolio, and work in a cross-organizational setting to ratify services and use-cases across the global enterprise.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge in Software Defined infrastructure, cloud strategies, data center and WAN technologies, global load balancing, automation development and workflows.
- Develop reference architectures, support existing standards through a comprehensive review process, present to Architecture Boards, and develop standards based upon business requirements.
- Ascertain business requirements, research and identify solutions, and make recommendations supported by a properly developed business case that includes technical feasibility, costs, benefits, etc.
- Develop Business Cases, Cost Structure, Scopes of works, and Build Materials associated with both projects and BAU work.
- Develop and execute project / deployment plans that meet scope, time, cost, and quality requirements
- Assess, mitigate risk, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues utilizing industry standard tools to include packet analyzers. (NetBrain, NetScout, OpenText Network Automation, Spectrum)
- Develop processes and documentation according to the needs of the organization
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in alignment with Security, compliance, and firm objectives
- Establish and maintain professional relationships throughout the organization and with vendors
- Collaborate and influence others, to include peers, leaders, and vendors
- Mentor and build the technical skills of others, and foster a strong and collaborative team environment
- Lead Audit and compliance reporting efforts, and develop remediation plans
- Adopt and deliver on timeline and within budget in all areas of effort
- Provide guidance to managed services, contractors, and mentor network engineers
- Operate and engage with Audit to provide Reporting on internal and external Audit and compliance requirements
- Interface with other technology towers and vendors
- Recommend and oversee implementation of new networking technologies.
- Establish and Maintain Technical Standards including Write, Review, Edit, and improve network architecture standards as well as proposed Network Changes.
- Participate and lead troubleshooting during incidents to support business interruptions, or when experiencing sub-optimal performance with applications or solutions
- Act as escalation point for critical operational issues
- Lead Network improvements using Automation and AI capabilities including scripting, and tool configuration
- Review solution security releases (CVEs) provide guidance and recommendations to address identified potential threats.
- Lead Life Cycle management efforts and recommends hardware platforms and OS versions
- Collaborate with IT Security on network security best practices.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigation for Severity 1 & 2 Network Outages
- Participate in capacity management and planning, as well as leads efforts to reduce operational costs.
- Prepare documentation, power points of a technical nature, for the Architecture Review Boards
- Participate in Global Design reviews, including changes to controls, and other significant changes within the enterprise.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology preferred or related work experience
- 15+ years of experience working with enterprise network solutions, including cloud and remote networks, Software defined network solutions, automation, routing, switching, VoIP, Wi-Fi, etc.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Network or Solution Architect in an enterprise network financial sector preferred.
- Strong background in: Route/Switch Software Defined Data Center (Cisco ACI, Arista Cloud Vision, and associated Arista fabrics), F5 Load Balancing, Aruba Networking, Aruba Clearpass, and AppViewX.
- Strong technical knowledge in the areas of DDI, secure proxy, DDoS, Zero Trust Networking, Tools (NetBrain, Netscout, AppviewX, Spectrum, OpenText Network Automation) and/or content delivery, NAC, firewall, Azure, and AWS is required.
- Knowledge and experience in other areas of Information Technology security (Palo Alto), cloud proxy (ZScaler), Load-balancing (F5), computing, operating systems, application infrastructure, and development, etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise designing and deploying large enterprise solutions around Cisco ACI, Aruba Switching/Routing, Aruba Clearpass (NAC), Aruba Edge/Silver peak, and Cisco Nexus DC Portfolio
- Demonstrated expertise designing and deploying large Aruba solutions at the enterprise level for SDWAN, SDLAN, WiFi, and NAC with demonstrated use of Central and Orchestration SAAS solutions from Aruba
- Demonstrated expertise designing and deploying large enterprise solutions with Arista data center portfolio using Cloud Vision automation and orchestration
- Demonstrated expertise designing and deploying large enterprise solutions around F5 data center portfolio (LTM, GTM), demonstrated use of AppViewX.
- Demonstrated knowledge of network theory, services, routing, standards, and security; capability to interpret and apply network performance optimization and measurements.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000 for Jersey City, NJ region at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
