Technical Service Engineer

To provide pre-sales and after-sales technical service and support to OFC AC & Heating customers in China focusing on Copeland OFC compressor products and related solutions. Based in Suzhou or Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine communication with OFC AC/Heating OEMs to understand OEMs' product profile, technology trend/competitor's information, OEMs' new product development plan and needed compressor selection, and system target in performance and reliability
  • To provide daily technical inquiries from OFC AC customers
  • To conduct technical training/seminar with customers on products and application/solutions including supporting compressor selection and providing needed specification/application guidelines/manual
  • To provide needed solution/recommendation in system application

Application tracking:

  • To follow-up the on-going applications in OEMs including sample and test plan, system configuration and test set-up, system testing and performance qualification, system reliability qualification and field test and system issue trouble-shooting
  • To provide system testing data analysis and application improvement recommendation

Technical service/support for quality issue:

  • To deal with line return and field return
  • To provide the teardown analysis for line return/field return
  • To provide the recommendation for line/field issues' improvement
  • To handle quality issues and follow-up the related improvement
  • To visit customers' sites to diagnose problems

Technical document/internal communication:

  • To prepare the needed technical documents for customers
  • To attend internal meeting, training and seminar
  • To summarize the application cases

Internal technical support:

  • To support R&D, Sales, Marketing and Plant on engineering issues
  • To participate in the R&D NPD projects

Requirements:

  • 10 years or above working experience in OFC Compressor/OFC AC System Development or Application Engineering
  • Good ability of analysis and logic, good at problem-solving and positive attitude confronting difficulties
  • Good interpersonal and excellent collaboration and decision-making skills
  • Good learning ability
  • Good English communication

Education and Professional Qualifications:

  • B.S./B.A. or above in HAVA, or Thermal & Power Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical is acceptable if with AC/Refrigeration working experience
  • Fluent in English, English Grade 4 or 6
