Operations Manager
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities with the Operations Department(s) and day to day facility operations, this position reports to the VP of Operations. The ideal candidate directs and coordinates activities of businesses or departments concerned with production, tech, repair, receiving, managing staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties. This individual will also have good communications skills to interface with organization officials, and staff members as necessary to coordinate organization’s financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency. The candidate will establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and management of the production, tech, repair budgets
- Manages Purchase Orders for all telephone parts/supplies through selected vendors
- Manages production including customer Sales Orders and Refurb stock per sales history
- Manages monitor and reports on production output
- Manages and develops shop procedures
- Manages, updates and maintains Refurb parts and BOM pricing for NAMS via Intranet Sales tools look-up
- Updates, maintains and manages QA reference manual including applicable accessories
- Performs monthly meeting with staff
- Processes purchase order changes in GP
- Ensures adherence to safety policies and procedures through working with Human Resources, as well as environmental compliance requirements
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with vendors for sub-contracted work
- Assesses risks, facilitate planning, prioritization, programming, delivery and provides operational needs for an inventory of facilities
- Oversees the areas of production, tech and repair management
- Reports on management objectives as part of the Operations review team
- Develops, mentors, and coaches all direct reporting personnel
- Partners with HR for staffing and employee related issues including hiring, termination process, and Converge-One policy compliance
- Manages integrations of acquired companies at the Operations level
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma is required
- 7 + years directing and managing personnel
- Acquisition and merger due diligence
- 3 + years of experience in customer relationship management (Line, management & Executive)
- Establish, create, and manage goals and objectives for personnel
- Experience in managing and forecasting departmental budgets
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, and project management skills
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving, decision making skills and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Previous business experience in a sales or telecommunications environment preferred
- College degree in related field is preferred
