Transportation Engineer Technician Trainee (Construction)

The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation is now accepting applications for a Transportation Engineer Technician Trainee (Construction) position in the District 2 Office located in Norwich, CT.

The team manages and directs all operations for the District and provides support to ongoing construction projects. The opportunity allows you to support public safety by overseeing roadway and bridge construction projects, ensuring projects meet design standards, specifications, and safety regulations, and help maintain compliance with federal highway program requirements.

This position is eligible for promotion to the target class of Transportation Engineer Technician after successful completion of the one (1) year training program.

• Monday - Friday
• Full-time (40 hours per week)
• First shift
• Location: District 2 in Norwich, CT
• Office/On-site work environment
