Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT is seeking a part-time professional for a rotating shift. You will be responsible for obtaining blood specimens, processing laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and providing patient information to the appropriate care giver. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Properly identifying patients per policy and performing venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods
• Labeling all specimens following laboratory policy
• Receiving, canceling, and ordering and processing laboratory/microbiology specimens

Work hours/shift:

• 16-hour rotating schedule

Minimum qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Laboratory experience, specimen processing preferred; or clinical office experience with medical terminology
• National Certification preferred
