Loan Servicing Support Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated Loan Servicing Support Specialist to join our team in Meriden, Connecticut. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate processing and servicing of loans while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate escrow payments for property taxes, insurance, and homeowner association fees.
  • Process and manage loan payments, advances, and adjustments efficiently.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to misapplied or missing loan payments.
  • Perform loan maintenance tasks, including modifications, extensions, and updates to the core system.
  • Address and correct credit reporting errors, while responding to disputes promptly.
  • Review loan documentation for completeness and accuracy to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates and resolve inquiries.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards in all activities.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to streamline processes and maintain records.
  • Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
    • Ability to work in a compliance-driven and confidential environment.
    • Previous experience in loan servicing or related financial roles is a plus.
