Application Support Engineer

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Windsor, Connecticut. In this role, you will provide technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of various applications and systems while addressing user concerns effectively. Responsibilities:

• Provide timely support and troubleshooting for application-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of applications.
• Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or inefficiencies.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and user guides for supported applications.
• Implement upgrades and patches to enhance application security and functionality.
• Offer guidance and training to users to improve their understanding and usage of applications.
• Analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable solutions.
• Work closely with vendors and external partners to address technical challenges and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards in all technical processes.
• Assist in the setup and configuration of hardware and software as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Active Directory and experience with Dell Technologies.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and application support processes.
• Familiarity with Cisco Technologies and network configurations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support or application engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with 3D parametric design tools such as SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Background in hose, tube, or automotive design is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
