Job Summary

As a Dining Ambassador, you will serve as the face of our dining program, helping customers and their families navigate available meal plan options while clearly explaining the benefits and features of our dining services. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with others, have strong communication skills, and are passionate about enhancing the overall dining experience. Dining Ambassadors may also support social media efforts, events, and customer engagement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote Meal Plans: Engage with customers and their families to explain available meal plan options and benefits, guiding them in selecting the best fit for their needs.
  • Social Media & Content Creation: Develop and implement creative ideas to enhance the visibility and engagement of our dining program across social platforms.
  • Event Support: Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
  • Program Education: Provide clear and helpful information about dining options, as well as our commitment to nutrition and wellness.
  • Customer Support: Respond to general inquiries, including dietary needs, dining locations, and program details, ensuring customers feel confident in their choices. This may include responding to messages through designated communication channels.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow ambassadors and team members to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage others in a friendly and approachable manner
  • Ability to simplify and clearly explain detailed information
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus, but not required
  • Availability of at least 20 hours per week or a minimum of three days per week preferred

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company's behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff.
