Director Of Operations
Working as a Director of Operations, responsible for leadership overseeing department managers of any of the following hospital departments depending on client need. The scope of the role could fall within one of these client services: Patient Transport, Environmental Services, Plant Operations and Maintenance, or Food and Nutrition.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and holding departmental managers responsible for compliance with hospital policies, contractual provisions, procedures, and initiatives
- Participating in various hospital departments and committees
- Leading departmental managers to implement strategies and execute plans to optimize the long term relationship between the company and the client
- Initiating strategic processes that address continuously measurable improvements in service
- Working with department heads to address productivity, operational performance, staff retention and engagement
- Holding management teams accountable for compliance with HR policies and procedures to include benefits, vacations, facilitation of evaluations, EEOC, and compliance with all regulatory agencies
- Ensuring that the highest standards of service are provided with a focus on patient satisfaction
Preferred qualifications include:
- BS/BA in Management or equivalent work experience required
- At least 5 years of operations/management experience
- Strong background in a leadership role with exposure to contract management, customer service, and people development
- Must be self-directed with a strong sense of urgency and understand the importance of cooperation and team support
- A high energy level with a strong work ethic and high expectations for performance, reflecting a style that is focused, consistent, fair, and approachable
- Able to work with diverse populations (staff, patient, hospital) under difficult and stressful situations
- Must exhibit strong communication, presentation, and listening skills to ensure collaboration between company and hospital departments
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
