Job Summary

The Catering Operations Manager oversees all aspects of the catering department, including staff training, event setup, execution, and breakdown. This role ensures exceptional service delivery, manages temporary personnel, and supports event logistics, quality standards, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all catering events and daily operations
• Oversee event logistics, setup, sanitation, and breakdown
• Partner with the Chef on menu planning and execution
• Train staff on service standards and presentation
• Monitor labor and food costs per event
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder communication
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Perform other related duties as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of food service experience, including 1+ year in a management role
• Proven catering experience required
• Background in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, healthcare, or military settings
• Strong knowledge of foodservice trends, sanitation, and cost controls
• Financial and budget management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• ServSafe Certification required
