Are you a high-energy leader with a passion for food and a heart for kids? We're seeking an Assistant Director of Dining Services to support a K-12 nutrition program at Hondo ISD in Hondo, TX—just 40 miles west of San Antonio.
You'll help oversee dining operations across four schools, serving more than 1,700 students, and support a team of up to 13 associates in delivering nutritious, engaging meals. This is a hands-on, rewarding role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves creating positive cafeteria experiences for students.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Works with hourly team in creating nutritious and top quality food.
- Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.
- Maintains excellent relationships with the client.
- Manages, trains, and develops associates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Financial experience and business acumen skills.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
- Associate's degree is preferred.
